stick out your hand
gather up your nerve
say "it's nice to meet you"
as I check out your curves

come sit down
take off your hat
open up your legs
oops, did I say that?

We're told the vagina is sacred,
"this is private" we whisper
but we shake hands with strangers
so why not go a little deeper?

Men shake hands with their penis
exchanging "hello"s and "good bye"s
they say "hey baby, how you doin?"
why am I only allowed to use my eyes?

I meet you
I kiss you
I bring you to my bed
you call me a "slut"
but what about friendly instead?

I may choose a man, a woman, or myself
you could say I like a lot of variety on the shelf
you could say I shop at the gender store
but just because I don't choose you
doesn't mean I'm a whore

I make your acquaintance
we get introduced
a look, a smile, ... a sway
oops, you're seduced

this is my way of
getting to know you
I don't do it with everyone
I choose just a few

This is my statement of gender equality
I'm trying something new
so as you wake up beside me
say, "it's nice to meet you".
